Risk Management Services staff members visit participants for onsite consulting and offer telephone consults, as appropriate. Consultations can range from advice on workplace safety to help determine what type of insurance coverages are needed to protect your city or town or to assist in establishing or enhancing a Wellness or Employee Assistance Program for employees.

Soft Body Armor Grants
Participants of the Workers Compensation program are eligible to participate in this grant program whereby the League will help pay the cost of providing body armor for police officers. The workers compensation program will pay 50 percent of the cost, up to $250 for qualified purchases.

NC Risk Online Training
To sign up for a NC Risk Online Training class, click here and follow the instructions.
Cities, towns or groups that are members of the League's workers' compensation or property and liability insurance programs can now take part in free, online loss control safety training courses. Online safety training is offered in conjunction with FirstNet Learning. FirstNet is an e-learning company specializing in full service e-learning solutions for industry and government. These programs are specific to municipal operations and needs.
More than 70 training topics are available. The sessions range from 15 minutes to 2 hours and do not require additional computer training. Participants can print certificates for each program that is successfully completed, and training managers can track courses completed by their staff. NC Risk Online Training now offers classroom training for those who do not have access to computers.

Participants of the Workers Compensation and Property and Liability programs are eligible to participate in this grant program whereby the League will help pay the cost of resources intended to reduce injuries and liability claims.
