Certificates of Insurance

Underwriting staff endeavors to complete all requests for certificates of insurance within 24 hours of receipt. Exceptions exist where requests are submitted late on Fridays or more information from certificate holder is required.

Financial Audit Information Requests

Underwriting staff also responds to any requests from auditors concerning insurance information. Typically, auditors will request policy coverage and loss info when the town's annual audit is performed. These letters are often sent directly to us from the auditing firm.

Risk Management Consultation

General or specific property and liability questions are frequently answered by underwriting staff regarding topics such as: coverage questions, moonlighting, rental equipment, unique liability exposures, special events, volunteers, certificates of insurance, and suggested insurance requirements for contractors.

Contract Review (Insurance Requirements)

Underwriting staff is available to review contracts in regards to insurance coverage requirements and advise as to whether or not the current coverage meets those obligations

Member Site Visits

Underwriting staff meets with members to discuss coverages, schedules and other risk management issues. We are also available to perform a site visit and help inventory water and wastewater treatment facility structures after a treatment plant expansion. Large meetings with staff from multiple departments can be arranged as needed. We can also coordinate with our Loss Control, Claims and Members Services staff to be there a​s well.

Policy Changes

Underwriting staff processes change requests submitted by phone, fax or email.​
